2020 Presidential Primary Official Election Results

The Routt County Clerk & Recorder - Elections Office is seeking input on its established Voter Service and Polling Centers. For the upcoming November 3, 2020 Presidential Election, the office plans on using the Trout Creek room in the Annex Building for machine voting and the Motor Vehicle office in the Courthouse for replacement mail ballots. The other two locations that are planned to be used as a VSPC are the Hayden Town Hall and the Oak Creek Town Hall. 

Comments can be dropped off at the County Clerk’s office on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse at 522 Lincoln Ave. If mailing a comment, send to :

Things to Know

Ballots for the March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary Election will be mailed the week of February 10th. 

Every person who is 17 years old on the date of a Primary Election or a Presidential Primary Election and who will be 18 years old on the date of the next General Election is entitled to vote in the Primary Election or Presidential Primary Election. 

If you are Unaffiliated and did not preference a Republican or Democrat ballot, you will receive both ballots. You may only vote and return ONE party’s ballot.

Caucus Information

Precinct Caucuses are meetings of registered voters within a precinct who are affiliated with major political parties. The caucuses are held by the major political parties and not operated through our office. Contact your local political party for more information.

The Voter Service and Polling Center will be located at 522 Lincoln Ave. Steamboat Springs in the Routt County Clerk & Recorder’s Office

Hayden Town Hall - 178 W. Jefferson Ave, Hayden

Oak Creek Town Hall - 129 Nancy Crawford Blvd., Oak Creek

Yampa Town Hall - 101 Main St., Yampa 

NOTE: Hayden Town Hall and Oak Creek Town Hall close at noon on Fridays

 Final pick up at 5;00 on Election Day - Hayden, Oak Creek, Yampa, Clark

Drop your ballot off 24 hours a day at our 24/7 drop off box located in the alley behind the downtown courthouse - 522 Lincoln Ave., Steamboat Springs.

What is a Voter Service and Polling Center (*VSPC)?

A VSPC is a location that has been set up during the election to provide the following services to voters:

  • Mail ballot services
  • Replacement ballots
  • Ballot boxes to return ballots
  • Voter registration
  • Provisional ballots
  • Voting machines
