Voter Registration Requirements

• The National Voter Registration Act provides registration forms at your local post office, library, schools and Social Services.
• You may also register to vote when applying for your driver’s license.
• You must be a citizen of the United States.
• You must have resided in the State of Colorado at least twenty two (22) days before the election.
• You may also preregister if you meet the above qualifications and are sixteen years of age or older but will not reach eighteen years of age by the next election. Upon reaching eighteen years of age, you will then be automatically registered.
• It is a crime to affirm falsely as to your qualifications to register to vote.
