The Environmental Health Department routinely offers food service training courses. "Food Safety Basics" is a free, 3 hour course focused on the leading risk factors that cause food borne illness. This is an interactive course with hands on training, great for both new hires and for chefs with years of experience. Classes are announced online, along with registration forms.
If you cannot make it to one of our classes in person, there are approved online courses located at www.statefoodsafety.com, in 5 languages (Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, English and Vietnamese).
